DR. SUMAN KUMAR DAWN
Dr. Suman Kumar Dawn, Head of the Centre for Management Studies (CMS). JIS College of Engineering (JISCE), did his M.Sc. in Mathematics from IIT Kharagpur, MBA in Marketing (Full time) and obtained Ph.D. degree from the University of Burdwan. He has qualified UGC-NET examination in the subject of Management and also qualified the GATE examination in the filed of Mathematics. Dr. Dawn has more than 13 years of experience in academics and 7 years in Industries. In industries he was associated with advertising and manufacturing industry at various multinational companies. During his service, he has managed different positions in areas like Core Sales & Marketing, Market research, Strategic Marketing etc.
Dr. Dawn came to the academic field in the year 2001 and has worked for many reputed institutions before joining Centre for Management Studies. He has also served as the Controller of Examinations, while working as a senior faculty member in Eastern Institute of Integrated Learning in Management (EIILM), Kolkata. Currently, he is appointed as Head Examiner, Paper Setter, Moderator at different Institutions as well as in CMS, JISCE. Dr. Dawn is part of editorial board and reviewer panel of "International Journals of Multidisciplinary Research Academy" and "The Standard International Journals". He has successfully carried out a major research project (2011-13) on "Ecotourism and Environmental Sustainability: A Study on West Bengal" funded by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, Govt. of India (Under MHRD). He is also empanelled as a Ph.D. supervisor at West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) and he is presently supervising research work on varied fields like Marketing, E-Governance etc.
The areas of interest of Dr. Dawn are Marketing, Marketing Research, Advertising and Sales Promotion, Strategic Management, Quantitative Techniques and Operations Research. He has published more than 25 research papers in referred national and international journals and has attended several international and national conferences and seminars.
MR. SUBHAJIT BASU CHOWDHURY
Mr. Subhajit Basu Chowdhury is an Assistant Professor ( Marketing). He is a Graduate Engineer in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He did his M.B.A from IISWBM, Calcutta University. Presently, he is pursuing Ph.D in Marketing in Calcutta University. Mr. Basu Chowdhury has more than 12 years industry experience in Sales and Marketing and had worked for different companies including India Cements, Zeolite etc in different positions.
Mr. Basu Chowdhury, then, shifted to academics and he has been working in the academic sector since last 8 years. He has the distinction of serving as Head Examiner of the West Bengal University of Technology in different Business Management subjects. He has also worked as External Examiner, Moderator, Paper Setter etc. for different Academic Institutions.
He has published couple of papers in reputed journals and presented papers in many National and International Seminars in different parts of the country. His area of research is Consumer Behavior in Marketing Management. He has also received couple of awards, when he was in industry. Mr. Chowdhury had also attended couple of prestigious workshops in the country.
DR. MRINAL KANTI DAS
Dr. Mrinal Kanti Das, Assistant Professor (Marketing/Accounting), has been in academics for the last seven years. He earned his PhD in Business Administration from the Dept. of Business Administration, Kalyani University. He has qualified UGC-NET examination in the subject of Management. He has pursued M.Com. under Calcutta University and has pursued MBA from Kalyani University. Dr. Das has also completed M.Phil in Management. He has authored couple of scholarly papers in refereed scholarly journals and also authored a book on Marketing Management. He wants to become a research oriented teacher in the future. He has the distinction of serving as Head Examiner of the West Bengal University of Technology in different Business Management subjects. He is a life member of Calcutta Management Association. Dr. Das was appointed as editorial board member and reviewer of an International Journal "Issues in Business Management and Economics". He has presented many research papers in various national and international conferences.
MS. SWATI PAL
Ms. Swati Pal, Assistant Professor (Marketing), has been in academics for the last nine years. She has completed and obtained B.E, MBA (Marketing) and MPhil from various reputed universities. She has qualified UGC-NET examination in Management. She has authored a book on Materials Management. Sales Force Motivation is her area of research. Her teaching areas include Materials Management, Production Management, Marketing Management, Service Marketing, and Advertising and Sales promotion. She has many articles and research papers in referred national and international journals.
MR. UTTIYA KAR
Mr. Uttiya Kar, Assistant Professor (IT & Systems), has done B.Tech in Electronics and Communication. He completed his MBA in Information Technology. Presently he is pursuing PhD in E-Governance. He has qualified UGC-NET examination in Management. He has authored a book on Computer Applications. He has more than eight years of experience in teaching. His areas of interest include Management Information System, Database Management System, E-Business. He has published many research papers in referred national journals and attended several national conferences and seminars. He is a life member of Calcutta Management Association.
MR. AVIK SANYAL
Mr. Avik Sanyal, Assistant Professor (Marketing & HR) has been in academics for the last five years. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business administration from WBUT and has completed his Master's in Business Administration in the Marketing specialization from the same university. He also holds a Post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management. Currently he is pursuing MSW course under Allahabad University. He has published research papers in referred journals and attended several national as well as international conferences. His area of interest includes Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship and Psychology.
