Eligibilty Criteria’s of the individual courses:

B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (EE)

Candidates seeking admission in the four-year B.Tech degree courses are required to pass Higher Secondary (10 + 2) or equivalent examination of W.B.Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other recognized Board or University. Admission to the above course will be strictly on the basis of merit positions secured by the candidate in West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and All India JEE (Main) as per the norms of AICTE and WBUT and have been allotted a seat by the Central selection Committee, WBJEE Board. Diploma Holders in Electrical Engineering can enter through Lateral Entry in the 2nd year of the above course as per the norms of the Government of West Bengal. Candidate should satisfy the stipulated standard of physical fitness with good mental and physical health.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering(3 yrs)

Admission in the first year through counselling will require a valid rank in JEXPO and minimum 35% marks(without rounding up) in aggregate(excluding marks of additional papers) in Madhyamik or equivalent examination. Any shortfall of marks(without rounding up) from the above benchmark will render the candidate ineligible for admission. There is no upper age limit.However the candidate should not born after 01.07.2000. For lateral entry to 2 nd year diploma scheme of AICTE maximum 20% of sanctioned intake will be filled up on supernumerary basis by valid rank of VOCLET through counselling.Candidates passing 12th Class Science with Vocational/Technical subjects and valid VOCLET rank or Xth + (2 years ITI) and valid VOCLET rank only are eligible for admission in this category.
